Attorney Molly C. Sanford has been appointed to several new positions with the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA). She is a new member of the CBA Family Law Section Executive Committee and a new member of the CBA Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee and Co-Chair of their Family Law Committee. Attorney Sanford is an associate with the family law firm of Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg, P.C. in Old Greenwich, CT.
The CBA’s Family Law Section works to enhance the practice of family law by providing its members with education. The section also works with the judiciary and family relations division of the courts and develops positions on issues facing the family lawyer.
The Young Lawyers Section promotes justice, the encouragement of public service, and the promotion of diversity and education of young lawyers and newly admitted practitioners. They produce educational, public service, and community programs through the section’s twenty-plus statewide committees and the nine regional young lawyer organizations in the state. The section includes all members of the CBA who are 37 years old or younger or who have been admitted to the Bar for less than six full bar years.
