Attorney Jill Heitler Blomberg was recently sworn in as the President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Blomberg is a named partner in the Old Greenwich law firm of Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg P.C.
Blomberg has been an active part of the chapter since joining in 2011. Prior to assuming the chapter’s presidency she held roles as its Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer and has served on its Board of Managers since 2010.
Blomberg’s practice concentrates on family law. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Attorney. Blomberg serves the Connecticut Superior Court as a Special Master in family cases at the Regional Family Trial docket in Middletown where contested child custody cases are heard. Attorney Blomberg acts as a court-appointed attorney and Guardian Ad Litem for children in contested custody cases and has completed all mandatory requirements for the Guardian Ad Litem/Attorney for the Minor Child comprehensive Basic Training. She is also recognized as an AAML trained mediator.
Attorney Blomberg has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Women Connecticut Super Lawyers, one of the Top 50 Women New England Super Lawyers, as well as a Super Lawyer in Connecticut and New England. She received the highest rating of 10 (“Superb”) from AVVO.
Attorney Blomberg is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania, Fordham Law School, and is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.
