Those interested in fighting hunger during the holiday season can drop off healthy foods and donations to the offices of the Old Greenwich family law firm of Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg, PC. The firm will act as a drop-off location from Nov. 5 to 16. Donors may drop off healthy food and monetary donations at the firm’s offices, 1700 East Putnam Ave, Suite, 206, Old Greenwich from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Donations will benefit the Connecticut Food Bank and Foodshare. They will distribute the food to their network of provider agencies. In addition, for every dollar donated Bank of America will match it with two.
The statewide food drive, called the Horn of Plenty Food Drive, is hosted by the Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA). Molly Sanford, an associate with Schoonmaker, George, Colin & Blomberg, is a member of the Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee and Co-Chair of their Family Law Committee.
Those who want to donate online can go to the Connecticut Bar Association’s site (ctbar.org).
